• Question: Why do arctic foxes hunt the way they do?

      If you mean their “diving” behaviour, it lets them quickly break through the deep snow to get access to the little mammals underneath. If they dug, the vole/lemming would be long gone when they got through but the sudden dive surprises them and they’re really accurate when they do it.
