My favourite subject was music and one of things we had to do was compose music. I really loved that because it was so personal and creative and someone else might get to enjoy it after (if it was any good!)
I wasn’t a fan of homework when I was at school. I liked some of the chemistry assignments – anything that changed colour or gave off smoke was fun. I think I enjoyed maths home work the most – practicing equations. Strange but true! (I wasn’t very good though)
Gosh I don’t really remember much about what assignments we used to get set – i used to enjoy anything that was practical. So I remember in Geography making a ‘live’ volcano, we made some pottery at some point too. My most useful assignment though was a hanging basket holder I made for my Mom as part of Design Technology, we still have it in the garden today!
Probably history homework. I really liked history and so I enjoyed reading things ahead of class as well as searching my grandparents’ book to find more information about what I was learning at the time. So I really enjoyed find out the answer the my history homework assignments.
Oh wow! I had to dig my memory on this. I think when it was to showcase an interesting behaviour of an animal. Me and my friends investigated the antlion, which was the larvae an insect that digs and pit and traps ants to feed on them. We made a video of the antlion to understand that stimulates the animal to lobbing sand at ants.
Here’s a video of the antlion, not our video but thought you might find this species interesting:
Yes absolutely! I think it is beneficial to me as a person (it makes me feel good – relaxed, happy) but more importantly I like to think it is beneficial to the animal. We are all conducting research to find out more about animals in order to understand them – it is only when we understand them that we can work to protect them, help to conserve them and generally look after and respect them 🙂
