• Question: what are the advantages of flying backwards

      Erm are there advantages? Is flying backwards a thing? Would you not bump into things 😉

      The honest answer is I didn’t know – i didn’t even know animals DID fly backwards! But it turns out hummingbirds fly backwards… and they are the only animals that do 🙂 They can fly in all sorts of directions and one of the main advantages appears to be predator avoidance!

      I’m not sure any animals do fly backward which suggests that it’s not a very good idea! I assume you’d crash all the time…
