• Question: if you don't win, whose cause would you want to support the most? why?

      oh, that’s a tricky question! If I don’t win, I would like Carrie to win because I feel that first hand experience is crucial for learning. The best way to learn about nature and biodiversity is to go out there and see for yourself. I think Carrie has all her plans in place, she’s done it before and says it was a success, so getting the money would only make it better and ensure that more children could experience a day out looking for animal prints and counting butterflies and dragonflies. How wonderful does that sound? 🙂

      Thanks Ines – that’s such a lovely comment! I can definitely say I’d support Ines and not just because she said it first (promise)! I love thinking like a scientist – it gives me a totally different outlook on the world to most people I know who aren’t scientists. i wish more people could get to experience that so I just love her idea about travelling round with her friend to help people do just that! If they come to your area, make sure you go and I’m going to read the book too.

      I like Ines’ idea of going into schools to talk about being a scientist and thinking like scientist

      Love this question! I think all the scientists have been brilliant because what they want to do with the money is very noble. I’m afraid I won’t be able to choose, I like it that its the students who vote for the winner and I would be happy with any decision!
