Question: Do you like the most colourful birds or other colours?

Colourful birds can be pretty from a distance – Gouldian finches are amazing with their purple, gold, and red colours. But “boring” brown birds can be just as amazing when you look closely. Look at a wren or a sparrow close up and there’s so much variation. Generally the more boring a bird looks the better it sings. Sedge warblers are “little brown birds” but can sing 70 or more different tweets & whistles.
