I know Rupert a little bit because we met at a conference and chatted. I haven’t had the chance to meet the others though but at least we’ve talked to each other through this!

Rupert taught me but many moons ago! I hope to meet up with everyone at some point though because it has been great getting to know all about their work through this competition

haha, it seems that everyone knows Rupert. 🙂 Rupert and I worked in the same department in Sweden many years ago and we’ve been friends ever since. He’s a phenomenal guy!

I used to work in the same place as Ines, in Sweden we met for coffee last week as it happens. Carrie and I met at a conference and have kept in touch. I have met Cedric a few times as he is on our science society’s committee with me. I taught Ellen a long time ago. We are all members of the same scientific society though, the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour. Lots of scientists know the other scientists in their field – it’s important to talk to each other and find out what’s new or if we can help each other with ideas. It’s like a big animal behaviour family

Some of them yes, while others not really. Sometimes friendship develop with some of the colleagues that you work with.
