      No they can’t… they glide… falling with style 😉

      Flying squirrels glide – they can’t gain height but they can travel a long way horizontally on their way down. They often glide like this to get between trees. They can climb up using their feet.

      No, they glide because they can’t create any “lift” to raise themselves only control their rate and direction of falling. I LOVE Ellen’s description – I wish i fell with style – I just splat….
