Question: Can an elephant live without a kidney?

I have absolutely no idea – I am really sorry! Even done a little reading around and I cannot find anything out 🙁 I guess the difficulty would be us knowing that elephants only had one kidney – we might only notice if the kidneys fail and the animal shows signs of illness? Not sure though – great question – sorry I couldn’t answer it!
