      They’re able to solve the kinds of problems they need to in their environment and that’s what matters most. They can retain information really well and solve novel problems and they pass lots of tests humans designed to test intelligence too so they must be!

      Phenomenally smart! They have a really high brain function and a fantastic memory! Which makes them really hard to care for!

      Elephants are big creatures and they have a big brain to help control their bodies. In fact they have the largest brain of any living mammal. So for example, because they walk long distances they are able to remember where to find food and water from year to year. They can solve puzzles set up by scientists. But they’re not very good at crosswords
