yes, I think so! Relative to their size of course. Some ant species can carry enormous bits of leaves and twigs and even prey items. Elephants are also really strong though, in Africa they are known as the architects of the bush because they the push down trees to get to the leaves on the upper branches. My votes still goes to the ants though.

A great question, and honestly, I have no idea!

Obviously an elephant can lift much heavier things than an ant but pound for pound I think some species of ant may be stronger, because they lift things that are MUCH bigger than they are!

Some of the other guys might have some quirky knowledge that they can help with for this one!

Definitely ants are stronger than elephants when you take into account their size. Leaf-cutter ants can carry leaves weighing nearly 50 times as much as they do! That’s like you carrying a small car on your back. Elephants are strong but they couldn’t carry 50 other elephants

It’s relative to the body size. Ants can carry about 100 times it’s own body weight, while elephant about twice it’s body weight, which is up to 9000kg.

I don’t know about that one either but they might be if they were both the same size. Smaller animals are stronger for their size because being small is more efficient (I would say that, I’m small!) but they are phenomenally strong animals so even if you scaled them up they might still win! Sounds like we need to create an insane experiment with elephant sized ants (no thanks!)
