University can be hard at times, yes, but then I think everything can be hard 🙂 Without a doubt I definitely think all of the hard work is worth it though!

University can be hard but that’s what makes it special to get a uni degree and it’s something you can be really proud of. Anything worth doing will be hard. The uni I work at offers a huge amount of support though so any student that is motivated to do their best can.

Well, most universities are hard in different ways. Mine is the University of Oxford and it has the most passionate students and very quick-thinking individuals. They have many really cool questions during lessons and I learn so much from them as much as they learn from me. Also, it can be quite challenging here as researchers come up with novel and interesting new research questions while I try to keep up.

Nevertheless, all these make Oxford a unique vibrant place to be in, and I have been loving it for the 8 years I have been here.

If you enjoy your work then it doesn’t seem so hard. And if you’re good at it then it becomes easier. Sometimes it is because our work is difficult that we enjoy it more and get more out of it – we feel we have really achieved something when we are finished. All universities are hard if you don’t study. It’s important to enjoy yourself too – both studying and outside. At Aberystwyth we are lucky because we are on the coast – you can watch dolphins from the beach as the sun goes down. In this video my students say what they think of Aberystwyth University – they work hard but they enjoy it because it’s a friendly relaxed place to be
