• Question: have you ever attacked the animal you were observing

      I am assuming this should be have I ever been attacked by… but either way the answer is no 🙂 I usually conduct my observations from public viewing areas so as not to affect the animals behaviour. If an animal’s behaviour is being influenced by the presence of an observer then it isn’t a very good behaviour study 🙂

      I’ve been attacked by a horse but only because I’ve done a lot of work with horses with serious behaviour problems. It’s really, really rare that a horse hurts a human on purpose (accidents happen though). That horses ended up happy and ok though in a family with children after we worked with her so happy ending! 🙂
